Founder/Director
Mr Richard Shervey

Mr Shervey was born and raised in British Columbia. A husband of over 25 years, he and his wife Cindy now reside in the Okanagan. They have two grown children and three young granddaughters. Through the course of his life he has lived in almost every region in British Columbia, Canada however most of his life has been spent in Northern B.C. - Mackenzie and Prince George.

Rick navigated through several occupations before deciding to become an Industrial Electrician. A dedicated and hard working individual, Rick's pursuit on this goal saw him apprentice for a local (Mackenzie) electrical contractor while employed as a building maintenance/icemaker. For over a year Rick dedicated himself to working his regular 4 day by 12 hour shifts as a employee at the District of Mackenzie Rec Complex, while working his 4 days "off" for the electrical company.

Following this time, Rick transitioned into a dedicated full time pursuit of electrical trades leading him to finish his apprenticeship at a local sawmill. Rick spent the next ten years honing his skills before moving on to a brand new sawmill in Prince George. Through his industrial experience, Rick observed many industrial accidents (some resulting in death) and thought "... there has to be a better way ...".

Seven years of thought, experiment and dedication lead to the idea of the Mobile Equipment Safety system today known as HAsSP (Human Asset, Safety and Protection) built by Pro-Active Safety Systems Technologies Inc (PSST Inc.)
